Russian Association of
Electronic Commerce (RAEC)
The Association's goals:
- join our efforts to develop the market;
- assist e-commerce newcomers, especially SMEs;
- create awareness of e-commerce;
- provide informational support to the RAEC members (legislation changes, business opportunities, international & domestic events, etc.);
- provide recommendations to e-commerce customers;
- generate cumulative figures on the market;
- deal with Russian governmental and legislative officials
(when a united voice is needed, participation in the development
of standards, laws and other regulation affecting e-commerce);
- represent the Russian e-commerce abroad;
- assist international cooperation in the field of e-commerce.
The Association was established at the first Russian E-Commerce Conference held in November 1998 in St. Petersburg.
By January the initiative working group was formed
consisting of representatives of ten leading companies in the
Russian e-commerce market.
